Barry Greenstein: The Robin Hood of Poker Becomes A WPT Poker Made Millionaire

Aside from being a very good-hearted professional poker player, Barry Greenstein has already become one of the most respected World Poker Tour made millionaires of all time. Throughout his illustrious career, the so-called 'Robin Hood of Poker' has piled up one major victory after another to become one of the most dominant forces in the game. Furthermore, he has also established himself as a solid cash game player.

Overall, Greenstein has already participated in 78 outstanding and highly competitive poker tournaments under the World Poker Tour brand, which is good for second best overall among the active players of the game. He has also piled up a decent winning percentage valued at 2.56 percent. Another great feat that this excellent poker player has accomplished is a stunning five final table appearances, which is seventh best overall. At the same time, his 16 money finishes are enough to put him on top of the competition. Right now, his World Poker Tour career earnings solidly stand at $2,296,284, which is good for 20th best overall.

Right from the very start of the World Poker Tour, Greenstein has already accomplished impressive feats. In Season 1, he finished 14th place overall at the L.A. Poker Classic that was held at the very beautiful Commerce Casino in California. In Season 2, he won the biggest game of his career, dominating the World Poker Open that was held at the Gold Strike Casino in Mississippi from start to finish. That particular victory alone gave him a hefty payoff amounting to $1,278,370.

Greenstein's next best year came in Season 4, where he participated in six highly competitive poker tournaments. Among his best performances in this highly successful year are the Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, the WPT Invitational at the Commerce Casino in California, and the Foxwoods Poker Classic at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. At the first event, he finished 10th overall that earned him a total of $41,380. In the second event, Greenstein ended up with another key victory by finishing at the top spot, earning him $125,000 more.

In Season 6, Greenstein would once again take an active part in the various poker tournaments of the World Poker Tour. At the Mandalay Bay Poker Championship, he finished seventh overall, earning him a payoff valued at $54,655. Meanwhile, he also joined the Legends of Poker tournament, where despite finishing 31st overall, was still able to bring home a decent $20,575. Finally, his last best performance so far came at the North American Poker Championship that was held at the Fallsview Casino Resort in Ontario, Canada, which gave him an additional $291,798 in cash prize.
